Mooies Cakes Terms & Conditions

All Mooies cakes are packaged with the utmost care. As our products are fresh and delicate, minor cosmetic movement can occur during courier delivery. For larger or high-value cakes, we recommend our Concierge Delivery or optional Protection Upgrade.

Ordering and Delivery.

• Standard Delivery: Unless you specify a desired delivery timeframe within your order notes, phone call, WhatsApp message, live chat, or text message, your order is subject to delivery at any time up to 9 pm on the requested delivery date.
• Specific Time Requests: We strive to accommodate specific delivery time requests, but these must be communicated to us before your requested delivery date.
• Timeframe Availability: In the case of high order volume or unforeseen circumstances, we may not be able to fulfil your exact requested timeframe. If this occurs, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss alternative delivery options. These options may include delivery at an earlier or later time on the same day, or delivery on a different date altogether.
• No Guaranteed Timeframe: The absence of a requested timeframe constitutes your acceptance of delivery at any point up to 9 pm on the chosen date. We are not responsible for missed occasions or inconveniences if a specific timeframe is not communicated beforehand.

• Third-Party Couriers: We use reputable third-party couriers like FedEx, but we are not liable for delays, damages, or loss of packages once tendered to the courier service. We will make reasonable efforts to assist with any issues, but full refunds for damaged goods are not applicable. Replacement or store credit may be offered at our management’s discretion. • Free Collection

  Want to pick up your order yourself? Great! We offer free collection at our location. Just select “Collection Only” at checkout and choose your preferred collection date.

  Please note:

  • Confirmation: We’ll call you to confirm availability for your chosen date.
  • Same-day Orders: Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate same-day collections due to our made-to-order process.
  • Limited Availability: We have limited collection slots, so it’s best to contact us via live chat or WhatsApp to check availability. Phone calls may experience longer wait times.
  • Local Collections: Our free collection service is intended for local customers. If you live a significant distance away, please choose a delivery option to avoid order delays.

  For the safest option for your cakes, choose our Guaranteed Shipping. All orders are fully insured, so in the event of any damage, you’ll be entitled to a full refund or replacement.

  Please note:

  • It’s Logistics shipping is exempt from any free delivery promotions or vouchers.
  • This service is not available for Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands.

  Product Information and Availability

• Product Descriptions and Images: We strive to provide accurate product descriptions and images. However, due to the handcrafted nature of our cakes and treats, there may be slight variations in appearance.

• Product Availability: We reserve the right to limit quantities on certain products or discontinue items without notice.

Wedding Cake Deposits and Payments

• Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cake cost is required when placing your wedding cake order. This secures your date and allows for design planning.

• Balance Due: The remaining balance for your wedding cake is due 7 days before your wedding date. We will send you a reminder email with payment instructions.

• Late Payment: Late payments will result in the forfeiture of your initial deposit.

• Cancellation Policy:

  • For a full deposit refund, cancellations must be submitted in writing to hello@mooies.co.uk at least 14 days before your wedding date.
  • Cancellation requests within 14 days of the wedding may receive a partial refund at our management’s discretion.
  • Cancellations less than 7 days before the wedding are not eligible for any refund.

• Order Confirmation and Production: Please note that your wedding cake will not be baked or decorated until the full balance is received and cleared.

• Design Changes and Modifications: We understand wedding plans may evolve. However, design changes after the initial order may incur additional fees depending on the complexity and materials needed. We will confirm any additional charges before proceeding.

• Cake Storage: In the case of a pick-up delay on your wedding day, we will store your cake in a cool, dry, and temperature-controlled environment until you are ready to collect it. However, we recommend picking up your cake within a reasonable timeframe to ensure optimal freshness and quality.

Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

• Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee that our products are completely allergen-free due to the potential for cross-contamination during production.

• Customer Responsibility: Customers with allergies or dietary restrictions should carefully review ingredient lists on our website and contact us with any questions before placing an order.

Website Use and Intellectual Property

• Copyright and Trademark: All website content, including logos, images, and product descriptions, is the intellectual property of Mooies Cakes.
