The Brief

Tibra first commissioned a Hummingbird Cake for an office celebration, then returned soon after with a much bigger brief: a 3-tier number cake to mark the firm's 18th year in business, for a celebration held at Quaglino's, one of London's best-known restaurants.

Our Creation

Mooies baked two cakes for Tibra. The first was a 10" Hummingbird Cake, layered with banana, pineapple, pecans, and cream-cheese style frosting — one of Mooies' rare and signature offerings in the UK. The second, commissioned for the anniversary itself, was a 3-tier Number Cake reading "18," crafted from vanilla sponge with mango compote and fresh mango pieces running through the layers, finished with a polished vanilla buttercream.

Delivery & Set-Up

The Hummingbird Cake was delivered directly to Tibra's offices on St John Street. The anniversary number cake went further: delivered straight to Quaglino's, the venue hosting Tibra's 18th anniversary celebration, timed to arrive no later than 4pm to meet the event's precise schedule.

Why It Matters

This shows real, repeat trust — Tibra came back for a second, far larger commission after a first order went well, and handed over responsibility for the centrepiece of their own 18-year milestone celebration at one of London's most recognised restaurants. It's proof Mooies can operate comfortably in the finance sector, deliver a genuinely rare flavour profile alongside a large-scale bespoke design, and coordinate handover to an external, high-profile venue rather than just an office reception.
