Dutch-processed cocoa is cocoa that's been treated to reduce its natural acidity. It's darker in colour and has a smoother, mellower chocolate flavour than natural cocoa.

How many people does a chocolate skull cake serve?

A 5" serves 5–7, a 6" serves 6–8, an 8" serves 10–12, a 10" serves 16–20, and a 12" serves 25–30.

When is the last order date for Halloween?

Please order by Monday 26 October 2026. Hand delivery within the M25 is available on Halloween, Saturday 31 October, until 2pm, with limited slots. Orders outside the M25 are delivered by FedEx on Friday 30 October, as weekend delivery isn't available.

Can I order from outside the UK?

Yes. You can order from anywhere in the world for delivery to a UK address, so it's easy to send a cake to family, friends or colleagues in the UK. We don't currently deliver outside the UK.

What Is a Chocolate Skull Cake?

Our chocolate skull cake is a layered chocolate cake topped with chocolate skulls, a gothic Halloween centrepiece made entirely from chocolate. Ours starts with a light chiffon sponge made with Dutch-processed cocoa, layered with our signature dark Belgian chocolate buttercream, and is crowned with milk and dark Belgian chocolate skulls that we temper and mould by hand. What’s in Our Chocolate Skull Cake

The sponge is a chocolate chiffon made with Dutch-processed cocoa, which is treated to reduce its acidity, giving a darker colour and a smoother, mellower chocolate flavour. Chiffon is made with oil and whipped egg whites, so it’s lighter and softer than a dense chocolate cake. Between each layer, and all over the cake, is our signature dark Belgian chocolate buttercream, made with real melted chocolate rather than cocoa powder alone, for a deep, rich flavour. The cake is finished with a cluster of milk and dark Belgian chocolate skulls, each one tempered and moulded by hand for a glossy finish and a clean snap.

UK-wide delivery: all Halloween orders outside the M25 will be delivered by FedEx on Friday 30 October. Weekend delivery isn’t available for Halloween.
